Michael Smith is an infrastructure strategist and board-level advisor with more than 35 years’ experience across digital, energy, utilities and civil engineering markets in Australia and selected international jurisdictions.

He has advised ASX-listed companies, NSW Government-owned entities, multinational organisations and telecommunications carriers on the structuring and commercial alignment of large-scale infrastructure platforms spanning renewable energy (Solar, Wind, BESS and Pumped Hydro), telecommunications networks, utilities systems and integrated civil infrastructure environments.

His work encompasses greenfield development, brownfield asset optimisation and the strategic enablement of civil works for service and utility access ensuring projects are commercially aligned and delivery-ready from inception.

He also supports regional government initiatives in water security and in-pipe energy generation, assisting in the positioning and structuring of resilient infrastructure assets.

As founder of ICT Consultant, he operates at the convergence of digital connectivity, energy systems, utilities, water infrastructure and civil delivery environments.
